Bishop Demery attributes his Christian formation to his grandparents, Pastor Emeritus, Apostle James Silver and Mother Vera Silver. During his childhood under his grandparents’ tutelage, he was introduced to the fundamentals of Biblical principles. As he grew into a young man, his quest for a deeper understanding of God’s Word became a blueprint to his call into the ministry nourished and encouraged by both his parents and grandparents.

In 1991, Bishop Demery graduated from Coolidge High School and in that same year began attending the University of the District of Columbia majoring in business management. It was in the previous year, 1990, that he was introduced to the bride of his youth at the age of 17. They married in 1995 and to this union were born three gifted children: Aniya, Autumn-Jimmie, and James who are also actively involved in ministry.

Bishop Ronald L. Demery, Jr. pastors the Bible Way Church of Washington, DC, with a compassionate heart fueled by God’s divine Holy Spirit and power. His authentic love for God’s people is seen through the way he ministers the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Bishop Demery’s one-on-one discipleship, preaching , and practical Bible teaching evokes a desire in others to experience an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ  leading to salvation and spiritual maturity.

Bishop Demery was born to the late Ronald Lee Demery, Sr., and Barbara Demery in Washington DC. As a child, he attended Scripture Church and Bible Way Church along with his parents. In 1994, he was baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ at Bible Way Church and shortly thereafter he received the gift of the Holy Spirit.
