The Bible Way Church’s Abundant Life Ministry, formerly the Drug and Prison Ministries, is a spiritual support group.  It reaches out to hurting people who are in bondage to unhealthy addictions, habits, and pains, to help them break free from the control, guilt, and consequences of those addictions.  The ministry is open to all who want freedom from their hurts, hang-ups, and pains and to receive the Abundant Life (John 10:10), Jesus Christ died, lived, and rose again to provide.  Its members go into nursing homes, prisons (adult, juvenile, male and female), and wherever hurting souls may be found to offer the love of Christ and the knowledge that a much better life through Jesus Christ is available.

The ministry encourages with the word of God, testimonies of life experiences, social service referrals, and by working together to help others be delivered from bondage.  It teaches that any person in Christ is a new creature (2 Corinthians 5:17), and that old things (hurts, habits, and pains) can be passed away, and that a new life with Jesus Christ is available.

Two of its outreach and family preservations programs, are Angel Tree Christmas and Camp Joy-El.  Both have been administered for over 20 years with Prison Fellowship Ministries.  Bible Way Angel Tree Christmas provides Christmas gifts to children who have an incarcerated parent on behalf of that parent.  Bible Way Camp Joy takes the children of prisoners to an overnight summer camp (Joy-El in Green Castle PA) free of charge annually and encourages them to begin a relationship with Jesus Christ. The children are accompanied by Bible Way Church youth, and youth from other local churches, who serve as counselors.  Many youths have been baptized and committed their life to Jesus Christ during this summer camp which is also a training ground for youth leadership.
